The so-called "love stamp" is now available in Italy for over a year now. What is it?
At the end of the nineties, Sildenafil was discovered, the active ingredient of Viagra ©, so it has revolutionized the approach and therapy to Erectyle Dysfunction; since then, medical research in this field has tried to find drugs that are increasingly effective and usable by millions of men affected by this problem. The latest discovery of the andrological science in this field is precisely the "stamp of love". One would say: nothing new under the sun, because the active ingredient of this drug is always represented by Sildenafil. But there is a big new because it is not a pill to swallow, but a rectangle, the size of a few millimeters, just like a postage stamp, to be melted on the tongue. This particular formulation, called orodispersible film, allows a rapid speed of action, after 20-30 minutes at most the active principle is in circulation at a therapeutically effective concentration, but above all it can be taken without water and with extreme discretion. There are various dosages on the market: 25,50,75,100 mg, so the dosage can be adapted to the individual according to the needs. We must always remember that it is a drug that can have its side effects and its contraindications. The side effects, even if of lower intensity, may be the same as this class of drugs, phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5-Is) inhibitors, ie headache, flushing and gastralgia. Also the contraindications to the use of the "love stamp" are the same as those concerning the PDE5-Is tablets: the use of drugs for the heart such as nitroderivatives.
Therefore, as always in medicine, the prescription, the dosage and the indication to use the "love stamp" must be given by a doctor, in this case the Andrologist.
