Erection drugs do not hurt the heart

When the first active drug on the erection (Viagra ©) was released in 1998, many urban legends spread that hurt the heart ...

Nothing could be more false, especially because this drug was discovered while  some antianginal drugs  used to heal a little tired hearts were studying.

One of these drugs was just the active ingredient of Viagra © (Sildenafil), which had little efficacy as antianginal drug, but was extremely effective in improving the erections of the patients who took it. So if you take these drugs, in the ambit of erectile dysfunction therapy, you do not run any kind of risk.

The only contraindications to their use are situations in which there has recently been a heart attack and the cardiologist has discouraged any kind of physical activity, or the use of a particular kind of  drugs for the heart (nitroderivatives).
